After years of continuous requests, Dragoon invested two years of engineering to develop two lines of cabinets for bass: the Dragoon Massive and the Dragoon Pulse.
These brand new lines are the result of several factors affecting the sound of the electric bass guitar.
By analysing existing amplifiers and speaker cabinets on the market, we realised that amplifiers have the expressive power and sound required by musicians, but speaker cabinets limit their potential, regardless of the type of speaker mounted.
Efficiency, dynamics, distortion and frequency response of amplifiers are all affected by the system in which speakers are mounted : THE SPEAKER CABINET.
The challenge was to do justice to the bass player and his sound, without increasing the power of the amp or doubling or quadrupling the number of speakers, or the weight and size.
The Dragoon Massive series is perfect for live stage performances whereas the Dragoon Pulse series is more suited to the studio or small venue gigs.
They are both completely modular with the aim to create a customised, compact, light and high performing system.
Once again, Dragoon offers a product that improves the performance of the equipment without copying or redesigning obsolete products.

There is no need to get louder and louder, it’s a matter of balancing frequencies and phase.
This is a critical feature in the low frequencies playback, delivered by Dragoon since 2000.
DUAL REFLEX: This smart and innovative feature lets you deliver full, tight, dynamic and powerful low-end sound without any compression or uncontrollable “boomyness” at any volume. It is very high performing in dynamics, attack and presence, providing just the low end you want: fat and tight.
HI-FREQUENCY SYSTEM: Not a standard hissing piezo tweeter, but a high-performance magnetic driver specially filtered and controlled by L-PAD to improve your tone and playing style for great low-end presence, frequencies balance and mix clarity.
The tweeter is never too harsh and does not hiss, even when set to 10.
